Heastrine Karsikas

Heastrine Karsikas, 73, passed away on April 21, 2024, at home in Ashtabula, Ohio. Heastrine was born on July 30, 1950, in Bevinsville, Kentucky, the daughter of Garnest and Maxine Hall. Heastrine graduated from Ashtabula High School in 1967. She married the love of her life, Gary Karsikas on July 25, 1968, they shared fifty-three wonderful years of marriage together. She worked as a Nurse’s Aide for twenty-five years. She enjoyed music, gambling, shopping and spending time with her family. Heastrine is survived by her beloved children: Felicia (Verlin) Goodman, Kathryn Marteny, Gary Karsikas and Cassandra Karsikas, her sisters: Charlene Daye, Doreen Ritchie and Annleen Noble, her brothers: Vernon Hall, Dean Hall and Garnest Hall, grandchildren: Verlin, Angel, Sabrina, Kenneth, Cody, Tyler, Harmony, Jesse, Gabriella, Sebastian and Matthew, 12 great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, Gary, daughter, Clarissa, grandson, Michael, sisters: Marlene, Jackline and Pauline, and her parents, Garnest and Maxine Hall. Visitation will be held on Friday, April 26, 2024, from 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. with a funeral service to begin at 12:30 p.m. at the Fleming and Billman Funeral Home, 526 W. Prospect Road, Ashtabula, Ohio. Burial to immediately follow at Saybrook Township Cemetery.
